I am nothing if not a Momma first. I'm not "mom" or "mommy." To use my beautiful little boy's words "momma." I'm also absolutely crazy about photography and all that comes along with it. I look at the "wall 'o pictures" in my parents home and realize those pictures just weren't who we really were. Me in a dress, long hair down, hands nicely folded in my lap or on one of my brother's shoulders. So not me. I was usually in something, anything other than a dress, my hair was never down - always in a French braid and needless to say, my hands were usually clinched in a fist when near my brothers, (I love those guys!).
I am not your "set-up" photographer. I love catching families and couples just being who they are. If that means hair in your face and a half tucked in shirt - so be it. I make every photo session as comfortable as possible. And that includes the location - I only shoot on location and most always only use natural light.
